  • Skoda, Once late spring and summer hits, the lakers go deep and you don't run into them. In spring they are up shallower in the 5-20' range and they will smack a jerkbait and hit a silver buddy type bait as well. I know some guys get them on slug go's and super flukes too.

  • whats the best bait for lakers and what depth

  • If I had a boat to get on there i'd take you in a heartbeat. I am lucky to have a friend that takes me.

  • If 8-15 and 8-13 are dinks then i need to find different fish in the spring hahahaha plus this year was a 17-14 which i believe was the Gold Pin winner. I have never fish the Quibin, I would love. Maybe we can swap trips in the Spring? I will bring the Bait!!

  • I've only fished the Q never fished the Chu, but all i ever see from guys posting pics from the chu are dink lakers. On the other hand I have seen some pretty BIG lakers come out of the Q in spring!!

  • Well, I would like to put that one to the test Rich. No boats at the Chu, be all the handicap we would need...hahaha

  • Quabbin Lakers put the chu lakers to shame

  • The chu has broken me. Plus I've kind of become a snob since I got a boat

  • You guys want Lakers? Come with me to the "Chu" in the Spring time baby!! Woooooo And bring them Yellow Perch, They love em and so do the SMALLIES!!

  • I got a 5 pound laker the week after opening week 2 years ago. That's my biggest
